Dr. Virenkumar (Viren) Patel is a dedicated and compassionate dentist committed to providing exceptional dental care to his patients. With a passion for dentistry and a focus on patient-centred treatment, Dr. Patel strives to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through his door.
Dr. Patel earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in year 2015 from Dalhousie University, Halifax. He received Dr. Harold Brogan award while studying there for his superior clinical skills and compassion for patients. Dr. Patel grew up in India and first graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in year 2009 from Gujarat University, India. Before moving to Canada, he worked as a general dentist for about 2 years.
With years of experience in private practice as an associate dentist in multiple Ontario cities including Mississauga, Hamilton, Welland and London Ontario, Dr. Patel has developed a reputation for his gentle touch and personalized approach to dental care. He takes the time to listen to his patients’ concerns and educates them on their oral health needs, empowering them to make informed decisions about their treatment options.
Dr. Patel is skilled in all aspects of general dentistry, including routine preventive care, restorative dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry to complex dental treatments like root canals and surgical extractions and implant dentistry. Whether his patients require routine dental cleaning, a filling, or a smile makeover, Dr. Patel delivers high-quality care with attention to detail and precision.
Dr. Patel places primary emphasis on patient education, so patients understand better about their state of dental health and home care needs which will enable them to achieve their personal goal for healthy beautiful smiles and better overall health.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Patel is actively involved in continuing education programs and professional organizations to stay abreast of the latest advancements in dentistry. He is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Halton and Peel Dental Association and Ontario Implant Dental Network study club.
Outside of the office, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors with his 8-year-old son, and participating in community service activities. He used to live in Aldershot, Burlington area before and being a nature enthusiast, he loves the surrounding geographic area which made him come back to open his first dental practice in the beautiful small growing community of Waterdown.
